Hi Noaym, Apologies not sure how I missed your message.
It depends what software you’re using to create your landing page but most services allow landing pages to connect/integrate to a GetResponse list via the settings on the opt-in button

Kind of confusing that they have a Newsletter option and an Autoresponder option, but great video.
Hi Ken, The newsletter option works as a once-off email blast and is completely separate to the autoresponder function
Very good training Good!!!
Hi Chris, very clear and concise. Good job. I cannot figure out how the FREE offer of a book is set up in the front of a new novel so readers click on the offer on the second page. Other authors do it so I’m not sure what I am missing. Can you please tell me how I can set this up. thanks Yvonne
Hi Yvonne thanks for the comment. Do you perhaps have a link to an example that I can check out? I’d be happy to take a look and let you know how it’s done
Thankyou for such a prompt response. No I don’t have a link example. I would need to know which author is advertising a perma free copy of another book inside a new release, which is what I am trying to do and I don’t know anyone who is doing this. Joanna Penn has free copies but I think she links to her website. Once I go into Getresponse and set up my free book, I have no idea how to show it on the second page of my book where I would set up a button. Maybe set it up in Getresponse and then just copy and paste the url to the button maybe? Would it work going back to the leadpage, which if I understand correctly is what I would be setting up in Getresponse. If you can figure it out I would be very grateful. I found your tutuorial excellent, you provided a couple of really good extra tips such as the spam. Noone else has highlighted that. What other tutorials do you have?
Have a nice weekend.
Cheers Yvonne

Hi Chris, this seems to answer my question except I want the squeeze page to be on GetResponse not a blog or website page. Hope you find this useful.
I want to know about Amazon’s rules for inserting a link to a squeeze page in my ebook. The page will ask to capture the reader’s details for future marketing and provide extra free information related to my book. I am not looking to directly sell anything from this page, just grab some contact info for later. Is this allowed?
If so, can I use my blog domain for the squeeze page or do I have to use a different one? For example, can I use a url such as http://www.myblog.com/freeinfo, or do I need something unrelated to my blog such as http://www.freeinfoforyou.com?
Am I allowed to link directly to my blog in my ebook?
yes, but product ads and affiliate links are not allowed. Many authors link to their blogs in order to collect email addresses, as do the trad pubs. Perfectly acceptable so long as you’re not being spammy.
i don’t want to set up my Getresponse account only find I cannot do it. I know other authors do. I can’t see the difference between going to a blog/website and an email service provider as long as the latter doesn’t use my page for advertising.
Cheers Yvonne
Hi Yvonne, apologies for the late response. I went on a short holiday with the family and kept the laptop closed!! ๐
If i understand correctly, you want to have a link that displays your own domain name in your ebook (pdf format?) that points to a squeeze page hosted on GetResponse?
if so, then you can definitely do this
Hi Chris – in the multi – media part, there are not many options for receiving MS Word or OpenOffice extensions. AND the URL’s are over 100 characters long. it is not a simple .com.HTML and sometimes it spits out only a number for the URL.
Hi Jon, are you referring to the URL received when hosting your squeeze page with Getresponse? if so, there are various tools to rename and shorten the URL as well as to use your own domain name
Problem with using plain text your hyperlinks do not work
Hi Yvonne, you’re right, hyperlinks do not work with plain text. However, GetResponse allows you to create a plain text version for those who may not be able to view the HTML version which is a very small percentage.
Quick scenario:
Subscriber 1 uses HTML enabled email client and is able to view and click hyperlinks etc.
Subscriber 2 uses outdated/HTML disabled email client and is not able to view HTML content BUT is at least able to view the plain text version.
Therefore it’s always best to add plain text to cater for your subscribers 2’s ๐
Plus you get the added bonus of lowering your spam score
