It’s not what software you use but how you use it. May be you are building too many links to direct keyword. I personally never build links to keywords. I only built it on generic keywords.

@@TheKuntaldas There is no definite number, it depends on your website authority. I usually focus more on building 2nd tier backlinks than 1st tier backlinks. Also use generic brand names etc than main keywords.
